Why an LED lamp?

By 2027, fluorescent UV tubes will be banned in order to limit the use of hazardous materials in electrical equipment, in accordance with European Directive 2011/65/EU. So our FlyinBox insect killer is getting a new look with its sustainable and above all eco-responsible LED lamp!

With this lamp, you can reduce your power consumption by 4 - from 20W to 5W - for the same amount of light and the same efficiency.

Furthermore, unlike UV lamps, which have to be changed every 6 months or so for optimum efficiency, LED lamps can be used for 24 months! It's THE economical (fewer lamp replacements) and ecological solution (reduced carbon footprint).

This insect killer is supplied with:

• 1 low-energy, shatterproof LED lamp with E14 base.
• 1 glue board to trap pests attracted by the rays of the LED lamp: highly effective system (maximises capture of flying insects), easy to install and maintain. The glue sheet is resistant to UVA rays, dust and temperatures of up to 60°C. The glue sheet is particularly suitable for use in the food industry, as it prevents dead insects from being projected. Also available in packs of 6.

The Iglu insect killer is suitable for an area of 50m². It has an IP20 protection rating (protection against dust: solid objects larger than 12 mm).

Use and maintenance:

The Iglu insect killer can be free-standing or wall-mounted. In the latter case (wall-mounted): we recommend positioning it between 1.80 m and 2.20 m above the floor, between the areas to be protected and the insect entry points.

For greater effectiveness, the insect killer should operate continuously throughout the day. Place the insect destroyer out of direct sunlight or artificial light (so as not to reduce the effects of the insect destroyer, the light produced must not compete with other light sources). Ideally, it should be positioned in a dark area to avoid competing light as much as possible and to maintain the full effectiveness of the device. It is best to avoid installing it in a dusty or draughty area. 

Do not use bleach to clean metal surfaces, as this could damage and stain them.
